LATISSE™

LATISSE | VANIQA | La Roche-Posay | St. LouisFull, natural-looking eyelashes can now be achieved through a prescription treatment called LATISSE™. LATISSE is the first and only eyelash treatment approved by the FDA to help grow longer, fuller and darker eyelashes and treat hypotrichosis, a condition that includes having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.

LATISSE contains bimatoprost, an active ingredient that improves the appearance of your lashes and is often found in glaucoma medication. While the precise science of the treatment is not known, research suggests that the number of hairs and duration of the growth process are increased by bimatoprost.

This prescription medication is applied topically to the base of the eyelashes once a day, after makeup and contact lenses have been removed and any other skin care products have already been applied. While it does not replace mascara, LATISSE offers an attractive complement to help further enhance full, long and beautiful lashes.

The results of LATISSE are visible after 4 weeks, with full results appearing after 16 weeks. You can track the progress of your results through photographs. Side effects of LATISSE are rare but may include itching, redness or dryness in the eye area. You should not use LATISSE if you have an active eye infection or broken skin or irritated skin on the eyelid. Call your doctor today to find out if LATISSE is right for you.

VANIQA®

VANIQA | St. LouisUnwanted facial hair is a troubling concern for many women. While there are many options for removing this hair, such as tweezing, waxing, shaving or bleaching, these techniques produce results that are only temporary and not always completely effective. VANIQA® is an FDA-approved prescription cream clinically proven to reduce the growth of unwanted facial hair in women.

VANIQA works directly at the source of the problem, by blocking an enzyme in the hair follicle during the active growth stage, preventing new hair from growing. VANIQA cream is applied twice a day, after cleansing and before applying moisturizer, sunscreen or makeup. Most women use VANIQA once in the morning and once at night as part of their daily skin care routine. This treatment can be used on women of all skin colors and ethnicities.

Since VANIQA slows the growth of facial hair, it will not remove current hair on the face. But over time, patients will rely on their current method of hair removal less and less frequently, with results visible for most women after four to eight weeks. VANIQA can also help improve the effectiveness of laser hair removal, for women considering a more aggressive and permanent solution to their unwanted facial hair.

Some women may experience mild skin irritation such as redness, stinging, burning or tingling while using VANIQA, but most of these side effects are only temporary.
